How It Works

Non-Invasive Ultrasound and Massage Therapy

The MedSculpt™ System uses a trio of patented ultrasound and massage handpieces to stimulate circulation and encourage metabolism of excess fats and liquids.

  • Zonal Massage
The zonal massage handpiece is a vacuum-assisted massage arm that helps to open the lymph nodes prior to treatment — eliminating the need for manual lymphatic massage.
  • Ultrasound Therapy
The MedSculpt ultrasound handpiece uses 1MHz-frequency sound waves to deeply penetrate and treat problem areas. It produces acoustic thermal and mechanical effects to warm the treatment area and shake up the fatty tissue matrix.
  • Elastomeric Action
The MedSculpt elastomeric handpiece pulls and presses the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissues according to a computer-optimized protocol. The combined positive and negative action stimulates the venous and lymphatic circulation — encouraging reabsorption of fluids and redistribution of subcutaneous fat.

Together, these effects help to minimize postoperative side effects and temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite.

* The MC1 and MedSculpt Systems are FDA cleared for relief of minor muscle aches, pain and muscle spasms, temporary improvement in local blood circulation, and temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

An Illustration of the MedSculpt Treatment

The lymphatic system removes interstitial fluid from tissues throughout the body.

The ultrasound therapy generates acoustic thermal and acoustic mechanical effects, warming the treatment area and shaking up the tissue matrix.

Elastomeric massage action helps to open the lymph nodes and increase the flow of lymphatic fluid throughout the body.
